We listen to them – and I guarantee you will – with frequent pleasure in the same way that we turn to Parker, to Mozart, even, and to Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry, because they clear away the plaque of predictability that threatens our aesthetic heartbeat. Every time I have listened to this music, it provides a different spin on itself, not because it is densely layered and complex, but because it deals with musical fundamentals in an engaged and humane manner. And that’s the other thing about it: these guys may go out under an enigmatic group name, but they come across as personalities, very different, possibly sometimes even contentious, but absolutely united in purpose.

LP & CD – we are getting closer
Soon…! From February 22nd to 24th, 2023 we were at the Radio Studio RSI in Lugano. Sound engineer Lara Persia recorded a wonderful new Lotus Crash music. What we have already heard sounds fantastic!

New Recording-Session at Radio Studio Lugano!!!
We are happy to announce that we are on 23rd & 24th February 2023 at Radio Studio Lugano (RSI) for a new LP / CD recording.
Over 40 concerts
LOTUS CRASH has played over 40 concerts since its inception in 2017. During this period of time we strictly focused on the development and deepening of our music.
For us stands in the centre what unfortunately has almost become a luxury nowadays: a consistently artistic work that does not think about the marketing of a product right from the beginning. On our tour we played also in many «small» places, so to speak at the edge of Switzerland, continuously developing our compositions.
The excellent international reviews of the first LOTUS CRASH CD, released in 2019 on Hat Hut Records, are showing clearly that this process has paid off. Now the music is anchored and free and the band is ready for new plans.
Recordings with the new repertoire are planned for the fall of 2022!
